People who feel the need to post their negativity everywhere. I’m writing this post out of concern for the otherkin tags. 

Look, I understand that you post what you feel about stuff or want to understand what otherkin are. [Including fictives, multiple systems, factives, faeriekin, etc] But you really don’t need to be disrespectful about it. Some of the posts I’ve seen in the tags are hurtful and ignorant. The human race is better than that and here you are just being plain…. you know what it’s like? It’s like those people that condemn members of the LGBT community for who they are. If you just go onto tags just to put people down and be rude, you’re just like the people that bully homosexuals. You have no idea how hurtful your comment can be to someone. If you don’t agree with it or identify as otherkin, that’s fine. Good for you. Nobody’s faulting your for that. 

But nobody asked for your condemnation, your cruel jokes, or negative opinions. 

So please, stop being rude and disrespectful and use this social networking site as a positive force. You’re supposed to laugh and smile, on tumblr; be there for people in their times of need and share common interests. Sponsor cool stuff. Be an awesome dork with friends. Share your drawings and your videos and make friends…. Help people in the outside world. Share news and politics and argue about that potato or how hot these British guys are. Fangirl until your heart’s content—squeal and jump up and down in your seat or a cute little puppy or cry over the Doomsday episode… Laugh at John’s jumper…. what have you… have fun and be friendly because you never know if that one negative comment could cause someone to do something drastic. And you know what I mean by drastic. *scolding face*

Think about this the next time you decide to post a negative/condemning comment: Is this really going to change anything?
